We recently dined at Rooh Palo Alto and had a mixed experience. The staff was courteous, the location is great, and the ambience is elegant and inviting. However, the service was quite slow. Our server didn't check in often, which led to long waits when trying to place additional orders. The curries and entrées we tried all leaned very sweet with almost no spice and mostly buttery and sweet overall. But I'm a huge fan of Rooh's appetizers and almost every appetizer I've had there has been really good. I'm just not always impressed with their curries. Even the garlic naan doesn't taste as fresh or well cooked compared to other nice Indian restaurants. However the atmosphere and service is always amazing

The cocktails were presented very well, and many of the dishes were flavorful, modern, and fresh. The paneer pinwheel is much talked about, but I wasn't personally impressed. The lamb chops were super tender and I liked the butter chicken. I thought it was overall an excellent meal and I'd come back.

I had an amazing experience at Rooh, Palo Alto. My husband and I went to celebrate our fifth anniversary, and we were not disappointed with the food, vibe, and service. I was using a knee scooter because of my fracture, and the attentive manager came to our table to make sure that I was comfortable.
