Drop in is NOT really a drop in. It's a membership/club set up. A family of four costs $240 + clay (must order/purchase before) + everyone must have taken a previous class. Website not clear, person that answers the phone couldn't explain yesterday, and the poor teenager had anxiety attacked when we asked clarifying questions. Kids bummed. Parents bummed.

Marin Pottery is a wonderful, friendly neighborhood pottery studio. There are several wheels and classes for both children and adults. I've taken the hand-building class and it has a really nice balance of freedom/flexibility as well as education and instruction. Highly recommend for both experienced ceramicists and beginners!

I am so glad I found this studio! I've always wanted to explore pottery, and I've had a great experience with the beginner and beginner/intermediate workshops. The teachers are knowledgeable and welcoming. It's been great to have open studio hours with the class and I'm looking forward to joining as a member!
