The Pottery Atascadero

Just finished a tableware series class. I liked the expertise of the instructor, Liza, showing various techniques and options balanced with the wide open space to make whatever I was interested in. It is great to have access to all the tools and equipment in one spot. About half the class were people with memberships so a variety of levels of experience too

Such a great place to let out your creative energy! Would highly recomend to any and everyone! Hoping to be able to get in here more often to really gain more ceramic confidence. All the workers are amazing and so encouraging. Its a pleasure to be able to have such experience wrapped in kindness help in your time of need

The Pottery Atascadero is a true gem in downtown Atascadero. It brings community, great classes, and culture to our amazing town. I have been a member since 2022 and have enjoyed watching this business thrive. Alecia and all the staff are so kind and generous with their knowledge, encouraging beyond words, and it just really is a wonderful place to be. I wish I could be there all the time!

I can't recommend the pottery enough!! I've taken the sake set wheel throwing class, two glazing workshops, and recently the empty bowls workshop. I've had Lyza as my instructor for all of them and it was fantastic experience every time! I brought my coworkers to the bowl workshop and they echoed that Lyza is a great instructor, very knowledgeable and patient with us, and encourages us to get creative with it! Date night was SO FUN! We each got to make two pieces, and Cassidy was a very patient, helpful teacher. I had no experience at all, but the way the class is structured, everyone successfully used the wheel to complete pieces. I would highly recommend giving it a try!
