One walking path just above a mile long. Open vista and inner most bay to see, nothing else one can do here. Peaceful as there are only few people.

Truly one of favorite places to take in nature during day and evening. Kimmy and I often stroll path through reserve as well as sit by the bay. Lot of birds π¦ and other wildlife. Easy access with bathrooms. Bring water. Highly recommend. Note: pets not allowed on path through reserve.

Small parking lot, but doesn't seem like the kind of place to get overcrowded. In general, the Bay Trail is a pretty standard walking trail. As part of the Preserve, there are a few observation platforms & pieces of land jutting out into the bay, but mostly there's not too much to see. The Cooley Landing Education Center has a set of bathrooms & a few picnic tables. The trail is paved & accommodated my stroller. Seems sufficient enough.

It seems recently renovated. The road is no longer in bad condition as older reviews mentioned. There is now a shiny new "education center," although I didn't go inside to investigate. The paths are paved and pristine. Lots of free parking. When I visited in April the area was green with lots of California poppies dotting the area with orange flowers. Overall not really much to see, but it was a nice place to walk. Zero shade (fully exposed) so you'll have to wear appropriate clothing, sunscreen

There is easy free parking! You can make a 3 mile walk if you go in a small circle around the landing point and out to the lookout point on the other side. Just an out and back but nice birds, flowers, and Bay views βοΈ no shade so bring a hat and water!
