The Hummingbird Sanctuary

This morning we went to the Hummingbird sanctuary and spent valuable time with Szilvia and the Hummingbirds with the chirping and buzzing sounds of their flattering super speedy wings that are still resonating in our ears. The entire ambiance takes place in the calmness and serenity of Mother Nature which is very soothing. One of the most unique nature experiences we have ever had! The tiny, magical birds were so numerous and often just an arms length away. We watched mesmerized as our host told us so many things about these birds that we never knew including that they can fly upside down. Loved it! Do it if you can.

The entire hummingbird and tea experience was phenomenal for both myself and my wife. We had came across this as a recommendation during a recent Airbnb stay in nearby Montecito and this made the perfect conclusion to our trip. This place is so amazing. So incredible to be so close to so many hummingbirds. Wow!! The host Szilvia also knows so much and is a lot of fun to talk to. I've loved hummingbirds for many years and I've never seen one that close up! Let alone hundreds. The tea was also so tasty. A very magical and memorable experience.

We had a great time. The host was knowledgeable about hummingbirds across North America and gave us tips on how to care for our own feeders at home.
