Elsie Roemer Bird Sanctuary

I always stop when I'm in the area to see what shore birds are roaming the sands looking for meals. A large variety of birds can be found on any given day. A great view of San Francisco on a clear day. I always try to make time to stop by when I'm in the area. If you're a birder then it's definitely worth a stop. Sometimes it can be dead but more often than not you'll get a decent variety of birds.

Small local bird sanctuary. Has an observation deck with interesting information on the local birds.

Stinky but worth checking out the birds! My one year old loves watching them. The ground squirrels are also cute. On a clear day San Francisco looks pretty from the boardwalk thing.

Good bird watching here w a trail along the sanctuary. Please be respectful of the neighboring yards and keep dogs on leash at all times for birds safety.

Great variety of shorebirds right off of observation deck which is a short walk from city street and parking.
