Dolphin Bar and Shrimp House

This is the place to go for dinners or even large gatherings. The food, as well as the service, is phenomenal. We came here years ago, and it was an awesome experience. With all the new restaurants opening, we forgot how awesome this place is. My husband was planning a celebration for my birthday and said, "Remember the place by the water that had the excellent food and salad bar?" Well, that brought back memories, so we decided to go back. We had a large party and the service was excellent

We were there on a Tuesday afternoon. We chose the outdoor bar, 😎 we had Michael, very personable and knowledgeable.The all you can eat salad bar was fantastic. The blackened dolphin was fresh and 👍 great. They also have a very extensive drink menu. We are planning to come back for dinner 🍽. We also discussed their Sunday brunch , it sounds delicious.

We got in a little after 4 on a Thursday for an early dinner after visiting Tuckahoe next door... Food was excellent, we sat outside and the view was great, service was fantastic and the drinks and food were perfect. Highly recommend the coconut shrimp and fried green tomatoes!!

The Dolphin was recommend by the staff at the resort we were staying at. It did not disappoint. We started with a shrimp cocktail. They were prepared perfectly and truely colossal size. We also tried the lobster and shrimp bisque. It was good. We tried a daily special which was grilled swordfish. Excellent. We had the Coconut Pineapple Shrimp. It was excellent. What an absolutely neat experience. Back in the day, 40s and 50s, this was Frances Langford's Outrigger Restaurant. At the time, a well known vacation spot and watering hole for the rich and famous Hollywood stars; Bob Hope, The Reagan's, Jackie Gleason, etc. Now it is the Dolphin Bar and Shrimp House; a restaurant, bar, salad bar, many eating rooms and a covered deck/patio by the water.
