Apollo 7 astronaut Donn Eisele never made it to the moon, but he got a lot closer than almost everyone else. NASA later gave him a rock collected from Apollo 15's landing, and that small piece of the moon was donated to the Broward library where it's now on permanent display. Now you can get closer to the moon than Donn did while flying with Walt and Wally in Apollo 7.
