Such a beautiful, peaceful place. Wonderful short trails, lots of birdsong, and beautiful views of the wetlands. So many different species of bird and waterfowl can be found year round, though it can get a little breezy up there occasionally shortly after sunrise. The autumn colors are absolutely beautiful, reflecting off the water.

I'd recommend visiting during the fall because this is when their hawk watch occurs. If you go in the summer, make it an early visit because the field gets very hot. Also, remember to stop by the waterfall downhill from the sanctuary.
