Riverdale Stables

Returning to riding as an adult has been a wonderful experience at Riverdale. The trainers I've had lessons with Caitlin H, Cheryl W and Rebecca M are all wonderfully gentle and encouraging to their beginner lessons (you can see in all of their show ribbons!); while being able to be encouraging yet firm with their older experienced riders who are looking to improve each ride. Every lesson has me wanting to return right away and all of the horses are well turned out.

I have been riding with Riverdale stables for three years and loved it! They have wonderful instructors for every skill level and ages, and want to help their riders be the best they possibly can be while also staying safe. It is a wonderful community and an amazing experience every day there!

Staff here is super friendly and genuinely supportive! They really want you to push yourself and reach the next level! I truly appreciate all of my instructors, and a special shoutout to Karen for her encouragement and guidance.

I have been riding at riverdale stables for a very long time now. My riding has improved so much since I started riding there. The staff and grooms could not be nicer. The trainers are patient and understanding but encouraging when it comes to something you're scared or uncomfortable with. I've read reviews saying the staff is bad. To the woman who got mad she couldn't go into the barn: yes. you need a helmet, and if the literal owners of horses who are highly experienced are in the barn without helmets, that makes sense. also, the woman who works at the check-in desk is super nice if you're patient and kind. she is the only check-in person there, so be patient, she does a lot! also, if you're late, that is your problem. if you don't have the gear, again, your problem. the stables
