Admittedly, I was a bit concerned about the condition of the rooms based on some of the reviews and despite my long standing desire to come here, I managed my expectations. A decent hotel, but I wouldn't call it a true 4-star. The food was good, and spotting deer in the garden at night was a treat. Beds were comfortable and the location is convenient. The robes were lovely-perfect for the hot tub. That said, the small details disappointed: the in-room coffee machine was the worst I've used, and the ironing board's dent made it basically unusable. Overall, fine for a one-time stay.

From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed - and our dogs did too. It's one of the most dog-friendly resorts we've ever stayed at and our dogs were treated like VIPs.
