VERY, VERY SHOCKED AT THE PRICES FOR THIS PLACE! Hansens has been my go to for all my family's birthday cakes for 15+ years. Usually I'm pretty content with the basic cake designs. I have been a HUGE fan of the basket style cake, and the prices the cakes are set at. I called today to ask for a quote for a basic 2 layer heart cake. I was heartbroken to be told it would be $135 for an 8 inch cake. I understand the heart design has become more and more popular over the years, but $130 is INSANE!! T

I had a wonderful experience coming into the bakery. A staff member helped us choose and customize a wedding cake. She provided great service and useful information. She was very thorough with her work. We tried 3 different cupcakes and they were delicious! I definitely recommend the chocolate cake with buttercream, however all of them tasted great!

The presentation and design of their cakes are absolutely one of a kind-always stunning, creative, and perfect for any celebration. When I went to pick up my two cakes , I was so excited, but I saw one was chocolate buttercream, I didn't realize I had selected that option, I wanted white But the team at Hansens on Fairfax made my day! They immediately fixed the issue and just made my partners 30th Birthday much more amazing! It was such a delicious cake and beautiful!! Thank you!!

Horrible experience. I emailed inspiration photos and did not get what I asked for. I also wanted the name on top of the cake. I was told because it was a sunday there was no one there who could fix it. Flaws: The gold drips are all uniform "same length." You can clearly see the brush strokes on the icing. The cake overall looks poorly decorated and cheap. I tried my best to spruce it up and make it look better, but in the end, I just didn't like the cake, so I did not use it. I later tried a p
