I saw a friends Art Show here. This Artist Loafs is so Big. All different types of artists live here I saw a section for iron workers only. They have twice a year an open House. There is one in the Fall.

Amazing place, every artist has to visit it! Edison Power plant / Blue Ribbon Brewery architecture is pretty cool too.

Gross. Granted I've only been a visitor, but it struck me as very fringe-y, commune type deal. Weird people, generally devoid of true intellect or any genuine sensitivity or sophistication, who are "artists" but don't meet the criteria of truly pro, at least not from what I saw or who I met. Not every building strikes me as especially safe or sanitary, either. In one building, known as the "musicians loft," there are shared loft units with no true ventilation because none of the windows can ope

The twice annual Art Walk is a fantastic (and free) LA event. Seeing a variety of artworks and styles, in the artists' live/work space is inspiring, and fun.

Great place to visit and enjoy. My favorite photo I took there was of the Andes mountains on old loom cards for making patterns
