This place doesn't technically exist anymore! Looks like a new owner/business but they still have the same items on the menu. UPDATE YOUR INFO! Don't be expecting an island-themed place, it's another generic-LA-trendy-'dessert' shop that's as sterile as it can get. The ube-matcha drink was good, came for the shaved ice, left quite sad.

We just came from Hawaii and were having some withdrawals so we decided to look up a place while we stayed in LA, and came across this cute gem. They were as authentic as it gets! My husband ordered a shaved ice with cherry, fruit punch and piña colada.

Shave ice flavors lacked sweetness (cherry and grape, c'mon). Very light flavor pours as well. At the end, I was left with mostly unflavored ice. Things seem to have gone down hill since they renovated this spot. It used to be one of my and kids' favorite spots. Will instead go to Ululani's in Hollywood.

I'm so sad and disappointed by this shave ice. Hawaiian shave ice is one of my favorite things and has been since my first trip to Maui. I seek places with organic and natural flavors so I was really excited that they had them on the menu. I went twice wanting organic mango and lemon/lime, but both times they didn't have them. I decided to give it a try anyways today and settled on a medium raspberry, pink lemonade, and pineapple, but none of the flavors were detected or distinguishable. Truly t

Thought this was Hang Loose Hawaiian Shave Ice, but it's not. It's a new place called Aviator? Ordered Halo Halo and it does not taste or look like Halo Halo. Got vanilla ice cream instead of ube ice cream and the most minimal amount of toppings. They were out of a lot of toppings and flavors and kept asking to choose something else. There was one that said no color, but the shave ice still had color. The halo halo just had a lot of condense milk. Spent $30 for two items. Disappointed...
